A FALL BALLROOM WEDDING AT BROOK HOLLOW GOLF CLUB IN DALLAS, TEXAS
The Story: Marrying Colombian Roots with a Distinctly Dallas Venue
When we met to begin planning Andrea and Benton’s wedding, it became clear that the bride's Colombian roots would play a huge role in the design of their wedding. As many members of Andrea’s family could not travel from Colombia to attend, we wanted to find a way to incorporate her family into the experience through Hacienda-inspired design. I learned that Andrea's family owned a floral farm in Colombia, and that she wanted to use these flowers in her reception decor. Bringing in these flowers and finding a local florist willing to
make arrangements with an overseas provider was a huge task. Luckily, we were able to add Bows and Arrows to the vendor team, a florist who has experience working with flowers from around the world. They created stunning Colombian-inspired floral arrangements that paid homage to Andrea’s heritage. Although many of Andrea’s Colombian family members weren’t able to travel to attend her wedding, by designing and embedding Hacienda-inspired elements throughout the festivities, we were able to incorporate the bride’s family and heritage into this beautiful Dallas “I do.”
